About
Rob Hunter
I discovered my passion for running at 14, quickly excelling in the 1600-meter and 800-meter events and becoming a standout high school track athlete. After graduation, I stepped away from the sport to focus on building a career and starting a family. As life grew busier—especially after the birth of my two children—running took a back seat.
In 2011, I knew it was time for a change. I wanted to set a better example for my family, so I returned to the sport that had once defined me. That decision reignited my love for running and launched a transformative journey. Over the past decade, I’ve lost 55 pounds, recovered from ankle surgery, qualified for the Boston Marathon, and become one of the top Masters runners in the Hampton Roads area.
In the fall of 2015, I founded Endeavor Running Co., a community-based organization built to support and inspire runners of all levels. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of coaching hundreds of runners—from beginners to All-Americans—across distances ranging from 5Ks to ultra marathons. Each athlete brings a unique story, and I take pride in helping them grow, achieve their goals, and find fulfillment through the process.
At Endeavor, it’s not just about following a training plan—it’s about understanding the process. We educate runners on the why behind the workouts, the science of training, and the habits that lead to long-term success. Whether they continue with us or move on, our athletes carry that knowledge with them for life. This approach creates not only more success stories, but also healthier, more confident runners who are empowered to take ownership of their journey.
For me, success isn’t just about race results—it’s about the smiles, breakthroughs, and confidence gained along the way.
Running Quote
"LIfe is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it." -Dr. Seuss
